* Former IGP Illangakoon, Hizbullah to testify before PSC tomorrow

June 12, Colombo: The special Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks on the 21st of April and report to parliament is scheduled to convene again Thursday (13th).

Former Governor of the Eastern Province, MLAM Hizbullah, former Inspector General of Police NK Illangakoon have been summoned to appear and provide witness statements before the PSC when it convenes at 2 pm tomorrow.

Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration J.J. Ratnasiri has also been summoned to testify before the committee.

Former Governor of the Western Province Azath Salley, Chairman of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama Organization and a Moulavi of a Mosque in Kattankudy appeared before the committee yesterday.

It has been reported that the members of the parliamentary select committee have decided to meet and discuss the Presidents recent comments pertaining to the committee.

President Maithripala Sirisena has strongly opposed the PSC hearings and demanded the suspension of the Committee.
