* Japan's Serenity Lake Leisure to buy controlling stake of Sri Lanka's Hunas Falls

Jan 13, Colombo: Serenity Lake Leisure Private Limited, a Japanese company, will buy controlling shares of Hunas Falls Hotels PLC amounting to 66.2 percent.

In an announcement to the Colombo Stock Exchange on Friday, Hunas Falls Hotels PLC said the Amaya Leisure PLC and Carbotels Private Limited have entered into a share purchase agreement with Serenity Lake Leisure Private Limited for the sale of their entire shareholdings in the Hunas Falls Hotels.

Accordingly, Amava Leisure PLC has agreed to sell 899,000 shares, a 15.98 percent stake and Cerbotels (Pvt) Ltd has agreed to sell 2,824,820 shares (50.22 percent) to Serenity Lake Leisure (Private) Limited at the price of Rs. 187 per share.

Once the transaction is completed, Serenity Lake Leisure (Private) Limited will become the controlling shareholder in Hunas Falls Hotels PLC and will make a mandatory offer to the remaining shareholders of Hunas Falls Hotels PLC.
