* Members appointed to parliamentary committee COPE

Jan 12, Colombo: Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri yesterday announced that 16 members have been appointed to the Parliament Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).

The new members are Rauff Hakim, Sujeewa Senasinghe, Ajith P Perera, Wasantha Aluvihare, Ranjan Ramanayake, Ashok Abeysinghe, Dr Harsha de Silva, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Lakshman Seneviratne, Chandrasiri Gajadheera, Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Ravindra Samaraweera, Sunil Handunneththi Mavai Senathirajah, Jayantha Samaraweera and Dr. Harsha De Silva.

The Chairman of the COPE would be elected from one of the committee members on the first day of sitting of the committee.
