* Sri Lanka Navy recovers over 114 Kg of Kerala Cannabis in Point Pedro during special mission

Jan 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy has recovered over 114 kilograms of Kerala Cannabis (ganja) in a coastal area of Point Pedro, in the island's north during a special mission Monday.

On receipt of information, a group of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command conducted a special mission to recover 114.5kg of Kerala cannabis in the beach area of Point Pedro yesterday (07th January), the Navy media unit said.

The suspects had fled the area leaving behind the haul of cannabis.

The seized stock of cannabis was handed over to the Point Pedro Police for onward legal action.

Meanwhile, the Navy continues the search operation to nab the suspects.
