* Sri Lanka Navy, PNB arrest three people at sea with 20 kg of Kerala Cannabis

Feb 19, Colombo: Sri Lankan Navy personnel together with the assistance of Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) have arrested three people in Puttalam sea with 20 kilograms of Kerala cannabis (Kerala Ganja).

The naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command together with PNB officers in Puttalam carried out a raid in the Ichchankadu sea area on Monday (Feb 18)) and arrested the three uspects for smuggling illegal drugs via sea.

During the arrest, 20kg of Kerala cannabis and a dinghy used for the smuggling activity were taken into naval custody.

The arrested persons along with the stock of cannabis and the dinghy were handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau in Puttalam for onward investigation.
