* Complaint lodged at police to probe alleged cocaine users in cabinet
Mon, Feb 18, 2019, 12:50 pm SL Time, ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

Feb 18, Colombo: The Truth Seekers Organization (TSO) has lodged a complaint at the Police Headquarters that an investigation should be carried out based on the claims of Cabinet Ministers using cocaine.

Convener of the TSO Attorney-at-Law, Premaratne Dolawatta in his complaint has stated that the police can conduct an investigation based on remarks made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake publicly claiming that there are some ministers in the cabinet who use cocaine and the statement has been aired through mass media.

The complaint states that the police can conduct such an investigation under the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Since there is an anti-drug environment throughout the country now, these claims against cabinet ministers are extremely serious, the complainant stated.
