* Main suspect in Sevanagala double murder arrested

Apr 14, Colombo: The police have arrested the main suspect in the murder of two people in Sevanagala yesterday.

Two individuals were found hacked to death while sleeping in a hut in a paddy field in Nugegalayaya area of Thunkamayaya, Sevanagala Saturday morning.

It has been reported that a land dispute is the reason for the double murder. The deceased are 39 year old and 54 year old residents of Nugegalayaya and Kiriwewa in Sevanagala.

The suspect is to be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrate's Court.
