Apr 13, Washington, DC: The United States, on behalf of the American people and the Government extending wishes for a joyous New Year to all Sri Lankan people said, it is looking forward to build on the strong partnership between the two countries.

"The United States and Sri Lanka have a strong partnership based on extensive people-to-people ties and a shared commitment to democratic principles and a stable, secure Indo-Pacific. We look forward to building on this partnership and continuing to tackle shared challenges in the year ahead."

"Best wishes to the Sri Lankan people for a safe and prosperous new year," Morgan Ortagus, State Department Spokesperson said in a statement.
