* Cabinet minister post for Ravi Karunanayake again?

Sept 07, Colombo: It has been decided to give a cabinet ministerial post former Finance Minister MP Ravi Karunanayake, local media reports said.

It has been reportedly discussed at the United National Party (UNP} Political Bureau meeting held at the Public Administration Ministry premises in Colombo 7 under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

National Organizer of the UNP, Plantation Industry Minister Navin Dissanayake, the General Secretary of the party Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Law and Order Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Minister of Highways and Road Development Kabir Hashim, Minister of Foreign Employment, Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Harin Fernando, State Minister of Defense Ruwan Wijewardene, State Minister of Home Affairs JS Alawathuwala and State Minister of Power and Energy and Ajith P. Perera had attended the Political Bureau meeting.

In response to a request made by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to Attorney General's Department to present the facts on the allegations against MP Ravi Karunanayake, the AG is expected to present its report next week.

The Deputy Leader of the United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake will definitely be reappointed to the post of Cabinet Minister, local Sinhala Daily Dinamina reported.
