* President meets SLFP electoral organizers

Oct 31, Colombo: President Maithripala Sirisena held a meeting with the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) electoral organizers at the Presidentís House, today (31).

During the meeting, the President apprised the organizers regarding the current political situation of the country as well as about the reasons which led to form the new government.

All the SLFP organizers pledged to extend their fullest support to the future activities of the new government, President's Media Division said.

Furthermore, they assured to actively provide their assistance for the development programs conducted under the leadership of the President.

The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, General Secretary of UPFA Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, and Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and several senior members of SLFP were present in this event.
