Nov 10, Colombo: Three students of Sabaragamuwa University have drowned while bathing in the Belihuloya in Balangoda.

The deceased are first year students from Jaffna studying at the Sabaragamuwa University, the Police Said.

Police said the students drowned while bathing in the Belihuloya with a group of friends this morning.

The residents in the area have rescued the drowning students and admitted them to the Balangoda Hospital where they have died after admission.

Further investigations are conducted by the Balangoda Police.
