Nov 06, Colombo: Manusha Nanayakkara a deputy Minister of the United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) government has resigned from his ministerial portfolio a short while ago.

MP Manusha Nanayakkara was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment of the UPFA government on 1st November.

The United National Party MP Dr. Harsha de Silva said Nanayakkara resigned from his ministry and joined the UNP.

In a video released Nanayakkara says that he does not approve of the arbitrary political appointments that have taken place and will support the struggle to protect and uphold democracy.
