* Four new envoys to Sri Lanka present credentials to President

Nov 01, Colombo: Four new Ambassadors to Sri Lanka presented credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena on Thursday at a ceremony held at the President's House, Colombo.

The new diplomats assuming duties were Ambassador of United States Alaina B. Teplitz, Ambassador of Japan Akira Sugiyama, Ambassador of the Republic of France Eric Lavertu and Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Ashraf Haidari.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Sarah Amunugama, Secretary to the President Udaya R. Seneviratne, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ravinatha Ariyasinghe were present on this occasion.
