* Police launch Investigations to find seven missing fishermen

July 07, Colombo: The Meetiyagoda Police have launched an investigation into seven fishermen who had not returned after they set sailing in a multi-day fishing trawler last month.

The seven fishermen had set sail from the Galle Harbor on June 14 for fishing.

According to the police, information have revealed that they exchanged messages with the people in land until June 29th.

The missing persons aged 45, 51, 27, 39, 47, 26 and 34 are residents of Hikkaduwa, Thelwatta and Thotagamuwa areas.

Further investigations are being carried out by the Meetiyagoda Police.
