Dec 26, Colombo: A United States naval ship and three Russian naval ships arrived in Sri Lanka's Colombo Port last week have left the island after concluding their goodwill visits.
U.S. naval ship USS Rushmore, which arrived at the port of Colombo on 21st December, for a six day goodwill visit, departed the island today (26th December). Sri Lanka Navy made customary farewell to the departing ship, in compliance with naval traditions.
During the ship's stay in the country, the ship's crew members visited some places of tourist interest in Sri Lanka and took part in several programs organized by the Sri Lanka Navy.
Concluding their four-day goodwill visit in Sri Lanka, the three Russian ships, Varyag, Admiral Panteleev and Boris Butoma which arrived here on 20th December, set sail from the Colombo harbor on 24th December.
During their stay in the country, the ship's crew members visited some places of tourist attraction in Sri Lanka and took part in several programs organized by the Sri Lanka Navy.
