* UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe to be sworn-in as PM today

Dec 16, Colombo: Leader of the United National Party (UNP), Ranil Wickremesinghe will be sworn in as the Prime Minister at the Presidential Secretariat at10.30 a.m., today, the General Secretary of UNP, MP Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.

Speaking to media at a press conference held at Temple Trees yesterday, MP Kariyawasam said they would form a United National Front government after Ranil Wickremesinghe was sworn in as the Prime Minister.

"We are discussing now to form a United National Front Government with a broader alliance. Most probably the cabinet will be limited to 30 ministerial posts. After Ranil Wickremesinghe was sworn in as the Prime Minister, we will make a final decision," he said.

The Cabinet of Ministers are expected to be sworn in on Monday.
