* Police arrest two drunk cops at a tourist hotel

Dec 08, Colombo: Sri Lanka police have arrested two intoxicated police constables today (8th) for unruly behavior at a tourist hotel in Weligama.

The two police constables attending a party at the hotel got drunk and behaved aggressively damaging the hotel property, the police said.

The imbibed police constables have also started a fight with a group of police officers from the Mirihana Crime Investigation Unit, who had arrived at the hotel for a separate investigation.

The Weligama police upon receiving information about the incident have arrived at the hotel and arrested the two unruly cops.

The two constables are reportedly attached to the Tangalle Police. They are to be produced before courts today.
