* Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission holds an event to mark 70th Anniversary of UDHR

Dec 06, Colombo: The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) is organizing an event to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

The event will be held on the theme "The world made a new - the UDHR in our lives; child and youth reflections" to mark the International Human Rights Day - 2018 on December 10.

Ms. Hanna Singer, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative will be the Chief Guest of the event.

This year's event will focus on youth and children who will share what the UDHR means to them, while a cultural program will emphasize the importance of UDHR to diverse group in society.

The event will take place on Monday 10 December 2018 from 9.30 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. at the Ruby Hall of the BMICH, Colombo 07.
