Dec 02, Colombo: The United National Front has decided to launch a massive demonstration of people's power as the next step to strengthen democracy.

Reviving the 'Jana Bala Meheyuma' movement, the UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will lead a protest march scheduled to commence from a city of Central Province and travel to Colombo.

The main objective of the operation is to consolidate the people from the cities and enter the city of Colombo with hundreds of thousands of people as the UNP has led a protest march in 2014, said the General Secretary of the United National Party Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

The United National Front has decided to announce the details of the operation including the date, place and the number of days on the 5th December.
