* UNP launches Yukthiye Yaathrawa demanding democracy

Dec 01, Colombo: The 'Yukthiye Yaathrawa' vehicle parade organized by the United National Party demanding democracy was commenced this morning heading to the South.

UNP leader Ranil Wickramasinghe flagged off the two-day vehicle parade named as the 'Drive for Justice for the establishment of democracy' from the Colombo Municipal Council this morning.

The vehicle parade will proceed to Matara via Kalutara and Galle and end in Dondra today.

On Sunday the Drive for Justice parade will commence its journey from Tangalle to the Maha Devale in Kataragama. Following religious activities in Kataragama, the parade will proceed to Mahiyangana Rajamaha Viharaya through Monaragala.

The program will be concluded tomorrow evening after conducting an 'Adhishtana Puja' at the Temple.
