* Special security for GCE A/L examination centers

Aug 06, Colombo: The police headquarters states that special security has been provided to the Coordinating Centers of the GCE Advanced Level Examination and Divisional Collecting Centers as well as the Examination Centers.

Accordingly, a police sergeant and two police constables have been deployed to each of the Coordinating Centers and Divisional Collecting Centers while a mobile police unit is deployed to provide security to examination centers in every police division.

Also, two police constables have been deployed to provide security to each vehicle transporting the test papers and answer papers, the police headquarters said.

The GCE A/L examination is being held at 2268 examination centers island wide while 311 Coordinating Centers and 32 Divisional Collecting Centers are being operated.
