* Bodies of two youths went missing in sea off Kirinda beach found, four others rescued

Aug 06, Colombo: The bodies of the two youths, who drowned and went missing in the seas off the Kirinda beach in Tissamaharama, have been found.

The navy personnel found the bodies on the shore behind the Coast Guard camp in Kirinda beach, the police said.

The deceased, aged 20 and 22 years were identified residents of Urubokka area.

The two youths, who were on a pilgrimage with their relatives, went missing while taking a bath in the sea on 4th August.

In a separate incident, lifesaving officers have rescued four individuals who were drowning while taking a bath in the seas near the Nilaweli Sea view Beach hotel in Uppuweli.

The four persons on a picnic with relatives have come to the beach behind the hotel for bathing. They have been given first aid and handed over to the relatives.
