* Weather destroyed Estate houses will be reconstructed promptly - Deputy Minister Range Bandara

May 28, Colombo: The government is taking swift measures to reconstruct the estates houses in Badulla and Nuwara Eliya districts that were damaged by the adverse weather prevailing in the island, the Deputy Minister of Disaster Management Palitha Range Bandara said.

The Deputy Minister Range Bandara yesterday participating in an inspection tour visited a camp where people displaced by a landslide in Ramboda area of Nuwara Eliya district were sheltered.

The Deputy Minister also took measures to provide a relief package for the displaced persons. Nuwara Eliya District MP Mailvaganam Thilakaraj also participated in the event.
