* PM tours North today to review progress of development projects

May 28, Colombo: Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is to visit Kilinochchi and Jaffna districts today (28) to assess the progress of the development projects implemented in the Northern Province.

A number of development projects including resettlement, housing construction, land release, job creation and infrastructure development have been commenced in the Northern Province, after the present government came to power.

During this visit the Prime Minister will also review the progress and deficiencies of these projects.

During the visit, two review meetings will be held in Kilinochchi and Jaffna under the patronage of the Prime Minister.

Ministers of the central government, parliamentarians, provincial councilors, public officials, officials of the Treasury and other relevant ministers will participate in the meeting.
