* Suspect in the murder of 9-year-old boy in Chilaw arrested

Mar 04, Colombo: The suspect in the killing of a 9-year-old boy at Iranawila in Chilaw was arrested in Mullaitivu today (04), the Police Media Unit said.

Mullaitivu Police have arrested the suspect while hiding in the fishing village of Nayaru in Mullaitivu.

The deceased boy identified as Juvan Pedige Sudeera Nirmal was reported missing on February 25 and his body was found two days later in a forest in Muwapitiya area of Chilaw.

Police investigations revealed that the boy has been abducted, molested and murdered.
