June 19, Colombo: Matara district MP Buddhika Pathirana was sworn in as the Deputy Minister of Industries and Commerce before President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, today (19).

Secretary to the President Mr. Austin Fernando was also present on this occasion, the President's Media Division said.

MP Buddhika Pathirana was in Japan when two new state ministers and five new deputy ministers were sworn in last week and returned to the island on Sunday.
