* SriLankan Airlines says no need to arrive earlier for departures due to BIA renovations

June 18, Colombo: Sri Lanka's national carrier SriLankan Airlines today said that the passengers can arrive as usual, three hours prior to the departure and no need to come earlier than the usual times at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

"SriLankan Airlines wishes to inform all passengers that in view of a slight delay in the construction planned, we have noted that we are not yet restricted in space at this early stage of the renovation. Hence passengers have the option of still reporting at normal times - that is three hours prior to departure time of flights."

The national carrier earlier said that the passengers departing should arrive four hours earlier due to the renovations at the BIA.

"SriLankan Airlines would like to express our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to our passengers and we appreciate your patience, understanding and usual cooperation."
