June 11, Colombo: The Elections Secretariat requests the public to duly fill the relevant BC form (registration form) and hand it over to the Grama Niladharis to prepare the electoral register.

The process of issuing these forms related to the electoral register to each house in the country has begun and already 90 percent has been distributed.

The Elections Secretariat says that some people do not hand over these BC forms until the last moment and many issues arise in preparing the electoral registers.

The Election Secretariat says the electoral register will be used for several upcoming elections and it is therefore, imperative that people fill the forms as soon as possible and hand them over to the Grama Niladharis.
