* Reports of Bond Commission and PRECIFAC tabled in Parliament

Jan 23, Colombo: The Reports of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to investigate and inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) were tabled in parliament today.

The reports of the two presidential commissions were tabled by the Leader of the House, Minister Lakshman Kiriella.

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya addressing the House said the parliament has duly received the report of the presidential commission looked into the Central Bank bond issue and requested the members not to make false statements regarding the report.

A party leaders' meeting has also been held earlier to give an opportunity for the party leaders to express their views on the report.

Another party leaders' meeting will be held tomorrow and a decision on debating the report in parliament and future actions to be taken will be made after the meeting. Parliamentary sessions will be held today and tomorrow.

Earlier the joint opposition members alleged that about 100 pages of the report are missing in the copies handed over to the parliament.
