* PM instructs UNP organizers to follow election laws carefully

Jan 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka Prime Minister and the leader of the United National Party (UNP) Ranil Wickremesinghe held a discussion today at the UNP headquarters Sirikotha to inform the election organizers and the district managers of the party on the upcoming elections.

The program in which manner the public to be informed and motivated on the activities of the UNP in the future was discussed in full and lengthy detail during the meeting.

Those gathered were instructed by the Premier to follow the election laws carefully and be very organized and orderly in promotional activities to enlighten the public. He instructed the organizers that at no time unnecessary attention should be brought on other parties.

Minister Lakshman Kiriella said it is important to conduct a civilized election promotions campaign without abusing anyone. The programs of the party should be explained clearly showing the development projects undertaken to convince the voters to o appoint a team from the party that can support the development efforts further.
