Feb 19, Colombo: The Iranian naval fleet, comprising Tonb logistic-combat warship and two destroyers -Naqdi and Bayandor arrived at Colombo Port in Sri Lanka has departed Monday (19) after completion of a successful four-day tour.
Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the departing ships in accordance with naval traditions, the Navy Media Unit said.
The crew members of the Iranian ships took part in a number of programs organized by Sri Lanka Navy, during their stay in the island.
The Iranian Navy's 50th flotilla was visiting Sri Lanka as part of its missions in Indian Ocean and other international waters.
According to the Public Relations Department of Iranian Army Navy, the 50 flotilla have arrived in Sri Lanka to promote friendship and peace between the two countries.
