* Court grants CID permission to obtain statements from bond scam suspects

Feb 12, Colombo: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has been given permission to obtain further statements from the two suspects Arjuna Aloysius and Kasun Palisena of the Central Bank bond case currently being tried in the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court.

Accordingly, Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne in writing informed the Prison Superintendent allow the CID to record the statements from the suspects on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of February in the prison complex.

Colombo Fort Magistrate last week ordered to remand former director of Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Arjun Aloysius and its Chief Executive Officer Kasun Palisena who were arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for their alleged involvement in the Central Bank bond scam, until February 16.
