* Three Royal Thai naval ships arrive at Sri Lanka's Colombo Port on goodwill visit

Apr 07, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy, in accordance with naval traditions, welcomed three Royal Thai naval ships arrived at the Port of Colombo on Friday.

Royal Thai Naval Ships, HTMS Bangpakong, Makutrajakumarn and Pattani arrived at the port of Colombo on a training and goodwill visit on 06 April 2018.

The Commander Royal Thai Naval Cadet Training Unit, Rear Admiral Sompong Poowang and Commanding Officers of the ships; Captain Niwat Jitpoolphol, Commander Nattapon Sungakitboon and Commander Narunat Panckam met with Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Western Naval Command Headquarters and held a cordial discussion.

During the five-day tour, the ships' crew is scheduled to take part in various programs including friendly sporting activities, cultural shows, variety shows organized by Sri Lanka Navy.

The ships are due to leave for their next port of call on 09 April.
