* Student activist Ryan Jayalath further remanded

Sept 13, Colombo: A Sri Lankan court today further remanded the convener of the Medical Students' Action Committee, Ryan Jayalath, who is charged under the Public Property Act for destructing public property.

Maligakanda Magistrate Court today ordered Ryan Jayalath to be further remanded until September 20.

Jayalath was accused of forcibly entering the Health Ministry premises on 21 June and damaging public property.
