* Sri Lanka Police distribute 90,000 breathalyzers to police stations to nab drunk drivers

Sept 06, Colombo: Stepping up the efforts to catch motorists driving under the influence of alcohol, the police department of Sri Lanka has taken measures to distribute 90,000 breathalyzers to all the police stations in the island.

The police department in a communiquê said they will distribute the brand new breathalyzers detecting the blood alcohol content of motorists in the next few days.

The drivers who found to be intoxicated will be produced before the courts. The police will also request the courts to suspend the offenders' driving licenses for a certain period.
