Oct 03, Colombo: Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) is organizing the Sri Lanka country pavilion at the GITEX Technology Week to be held from October 8-12, 2017 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai.

Eight top technology companies from Sri Lanka and five startup technology companies will participate in the GITEX Technology Week, the EDB said.

The Sri Lankan exhibitors represent a number of technology sectors ranging from Future Tech, IoT, Digital Marketing, Cloud, Printing & Business Automation, Big Data and the likes and view tremendous potential in the GITEX Technology Week.

GITEX Technology Week is a major technology trade fair held in Dubai - the world's fastest growing technology hub. For 37 years, it's been the crucible of technologies that has inspired generations and innovations that are set to change the world.

This year, 4473 exhibitors will be participating in the GITEX Technology Week over a sprawling space of 92,903 sq.km., Representing 97 countries with a total footfall of 147,333 attendees. Clearly, this represents massive trade opportunities for all the stakeholders.

As a fast growing technology hub in the region, Sri Lanka can benefit vastly from the potential opportunities arising from GITEX Technology Week. On the other hand, potential buyers of Sri Lankan ICT products and services can gain from our vast collective expertise and the superior quality inherent in them, the EDB says.
