Nov 20, Colombo: The first Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Conclave (SEIC 2017), which aims to facilitate participation in the most dynamic economic opportunities that are available in Sri Lanka, will see the participation of over 200 investors from seven countries.
The SEIC 2017 will be held at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo on 28th and 29th November 2017.
The conclave is the initiative of Dr. Palitha Kohona, former permanent representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations who is now using his experience and knowledge in international relations, trade, and law to attract sustainable and commercially viable investment opportunities to Sri Lanka.
SEIC 2017 will be hosted by Hairong Investments International (Pvt) Ltd and Trive International (Private) Limited, in collaboration with Opportunity Sri Lanka.
The conclave will bring together 200 plus Participants for an invaluable opportunity to share the Economic and investment opportunities in Sri Lanka and, further, to create and strengthen investment partnerships with China, USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Dubai, Japan and Hong Kong, the organizers say.
Central Bank Governor Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy, Minister of Megapolis Development Champika Ranawaka, and Deputy Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs Dr, Harsha de Silva are among scheduled speakers at the confab.
The topics will include China's "One Belt One Road" initiative, sector-specific investment opportunities, and Sri Lanka's position as a "gateway to India."
The seminar is sponsored by the Federation of Industry and Commerce of China, the Colombo Chamber of Commerce, and the Indian Chamber of Commerce.
