* 100 kilograms of Kerala cannabis found in public bus

Nov 12, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Kanagarayankulam Police today said they have seized a 100 kilogram stock of Kerala cannabis worth over Rs. 35 million in a luxury bus plying from Jaffna to Colombo.

Acting on intelligence information received the Kanagarayankulam Police had set up security check points and raided the bus plying on the Jaffna-Kandy Road at Kanagarayankulam this morning and recovered the consignment of the Kerala cannabis.

The police have also arrested two suspects along with the cannabis stock.

The Police said the bus was used to transport the drug stock since the buses are not crowded on Sundays.
