Nov 07, Colombo: Mayor of South Korean capital Seoul, Park Won-soon paid a courtesy call on Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat today (November 7).

The Seoul Mayor thanked the President for the support extended to South Korea at international forums and expressed that Seoul wishes to establish a link with a sister city in Sri Lanka.

President Sirisena said that such a link between cities would help to learn from each other's urban development strategies.

Referring to the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Republic of Korea, the President said that this is the time to think ahead to see how strong relations could be developed during the next 40 years.

A four-member senior delegation from the City of Seoul and Korean Ambassador in Sri Lanka Chang Won-sam were present on this occasion.
