* Parliamentary forum on Early Childhood Development tomorrow

Nov 06, Colombo: Sri Lanka parliament will hold a forum on early childhood development under the patronage of Speaker Karu Jayasuriya.

The "Parliamentary Forum on Early Childhood Development" will be held on Tuesday, the 07th November 2017 from 9.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. in Committee Room No. 2 of Parliament for all Members of Parliament with the collaboration of the United Nations Children’s Fund.

The United Nations agency for children, UNICEF has said that Sri Lanka must have basic national policies for early childhood development if it wants to build a knowledge-based economy as it has envisioned.

Dr. Michael Samson, Director of Research, Economic Policy Research Institution, Cape Town, South Africa and Mr. Tim Sutton, UNICEF Sri Lanka Representative will be participating as Key Experts at this forum.
