* Unjustly expelled Kekirawa student gets a school

Nov 04, Colombo: Sri Lanka's Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has taken steps to get a school to admit the school girl who was expelled from the school by the principal after falsely accusing the girl is pregnant.

The Minister has made arrangements to get the grade 10 student admitted to the Anuradhapura Central College.

The female student of the Madatugama Rewatha Vidyalaya, in Kekirawa education zone was expelled from the school by the Principal falsely accusing the girl is pregnant for vomiting at a morning assembly.

A group of lawyers from the Mt. Lavinia Court has come to the girl's house and contacted Minister Kariyawasam connecting the Minister and the parents over the phone to discuss am make the arrangement.

The president of the "Lawyers for Equal Rights" organization, attorney-at-law Aravinda Wanniarachchi, attorney-at-law Waruna Jayasinghe and Law Student Bandula Bambaranda of the Mount Lavinia Court had come to the house of the female student.

They have also donated educational equipment, clothing and money for educational expenses.
