* U.S. Under Secretary of State Shannon to visit Sri Lanka next week

Nov 03, Washington, DC: Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Ambassador Thomas A. Shannon will visit Sri Lanka next week to take part in the next round of the U.S. - Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue.

Under Secretary Shannon will travel to Colombo on November 6, where he will co-lead the U.S.-Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue and meet with government and non-government officials, the State Department said.

The U.S. - Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue, inaugurated in 2016, is a regularly planned policy consultation designed to advance the common agenda and opportunities for cooperation across the full range of bilateral and regional issues.

Prior to arriving in Sri Lanka the Under Secretary will visit Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 56 to co-lead the U.S.-Bangladesh Partnership Dialogue.
