* Sri Lanka Navy nabs four suspects including an Indian with over 39 kg of Kerala Cannabis

Dec 30, Colombo: Sri Lanka Navy on Friday has arrested four individuals an Indian national transporting a stock of Kerala cannabis (Kerala Ganja) at an inhabited island in the northern seas off Jaffna peninsula.

Following an information received by Navy, Naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command arrested four persons with 39.06 Kg of Cannabis, at the Kakarativu Island in Jaffna peninsula on Friday (29 December).

An Indian national was also among the arrested persons.

Along with the suspects, a dinghy, a GPS and some other items were also taken into naval custody. The suspects were handed over to Kayts Police for onward legal action.
