* Postal voting for LG polls on 25th and 26th of January

Dec 25, Colombo: Postal voting for the local government polls will be held on the 25th and 26th of January, the Elections Commission announced today.

Additional Commissioner of Elections M.M. Mohamed said that the voters registered for local government elections to be held on the 10th of February 2018 are eligible for postal voting.

Officials of the Elections Department and Police personnel could cast their postal votes on January 22, the Additional Commissioner said.

He stated that the elections commission has already given instructions to district election offices to conduct relevant procedures on the 25th and 26th of January.
