Dec 15, Colombo: Mrs. Sriyani Wijewickrema, Member of Parliament for Digamadulla District, was sworn in as the State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government this morning (15) at the Presidential Secretariat before President Maithripala Sirisena.

Mrs Sriyani Wijewickrama, who worked with the joint opposition, recently joined the Sri Lanka Freedom party (SLFP) in supporting President Sirisena.

Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faizer Mustapha was also present at the occasion.
