* 'Heta Dakina Ranil' photographic exhibition on Sri Lanka Prime Minister opens

Aug 18, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena Thursday opened the photographic exhibition titled 'Heta Dakina Ranil' (Ranil who sees the future) depicting the special moments of 40 years in politics of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at the BMICH.

The President, after opening the Exhibition, joined Mr. Wickremesinghe and other guests to view the exhibition.

The aim of this photographic exhibition is to felicitate the Prime Minister for the national service rendered by him during his challenging four decades long political journey. He was elected to Parliament in 1977 at the age of 28, and has played a decisive role in the Sri Lankan politics.

The Speaker of parliament Karu Jayasuriya viewed the exhibition today as the Chief Guest of the day.

The three-day exhibition is open to the public from August 18 to 20 from 10 a.m. to 8.p.m.

Ministers and MPs, dignitaries including former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga participated on this occasion.
