* Development and National Lotteries Boards brought back to Finance Ministry

Aug 18, Colombo: A Gazette notification has been issued yesterday (August 17) by President Maithripala Sirisena bringing the National Lotteries Board and the Development Lotteries Board under the Minister of Finance and Mass Media.

The two Boards were brought under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs when former Minister Ravi Karunanayake was the Foreign Affairs Minister.

Former Foreign Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake resigned from his post on August 10, following corruption charges.

The National Lotteries Board and the Development Lotteries Board have now been brought back under the Ministry of Finance.
