Aug 12, Colombo: An exhibition depicting the special events in four decades of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's political life will be declared open on Thursday (17) under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.
The special exhibition under the theme "Heta Dakina Ranil" will be opened at the BMICH in Colombo at 3.30 p.m. on Thursday.
The exhibition will be opened to the public until 19 August from 10.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m.
The exhibition will be held to recognize the services he rendered to the nation after being elected to Parliament in 1977 as the youngest Member of Parliament.
Meanwhile, a special religious will be held in Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy today under the patronage of Minister Lakshman Kiriella to mark the Prime Minister's four decades of uninterrupted political career.
An alms giving will be conducted at the Sri Dalada Maligawa premises with the participation of Prime Minister Wickremesinghe.
