* Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter carrying flood relief crashes

May 29, Colombo: A Sri Lanka Air Force MI-17 helicopter carrying relief aid to flood victims in the South has crashed, the Air Force said.

The helicopter has crashed in to water in the Inimankada area of Baddegama in Galle, according to the Air Force.

However no one aboard the chopper has been harmed, Air Force spokesman Group Captain Gihan Seneviratne said.
