* Softlogic Holdings acquires right to sell Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream in Sri Lanka

May 18, Colombo: The Board of Softlogic Holdings announced that its fully owned subsidiary, Softlogic Restaurants (Private) Limited has acquired the rights to sell Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream in Sri Lanka.

In a stock market disclosure the company said its subsidiary Softlogic Restaurants entered into an Asset Sale and Purchase Agreement with Blue Ginger (Private) Limited at Union Place, Colombo to acquire the exclusive Master Franchise rights to import, distribute and retail Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream and its allied Products in the territory of Sri Lanka.

Softlogic Restaurants is currently the Master Franchise holder for Burger KingŪ brand in Sri Lanka and commenced its operations in December 2013.

Baskin-Robbins is the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shop restaurants.

Softlogic said it believes that the acquisition of the Master Franchise rights to Baskin-Robbins will create significant synergies within its Retail and fast food (QSR) sector.
